I can't formally retract the erroneous 2.0 I gave this back in 2018, but I can say that, five years on, I've come around to this record in a big way. Quality death metal with great atmosphere without being "atmospheric" (read: boring) metal.

Bucking the trite trends and riff-less tendencies of many of their contemporaries, Kever proved within the span of only two EPs how death metal could not only stay true to its' roots, but also hack and slash its' way into the future. Eon of Cycling Death is a true standout in a sea of weak imitators, and their splitting up was a true tragedy for death metal. RIP Kever, we never deserved you.
